Terms and Conditions for Hiraeth Collection
The booking is based upon these Conditions of Hire, and Hiraeth Collection will enter a legally binding contract when a booking is confirmed. Conditions of Hire may alter after you have booked/received a copy and thus it is the responsibility of the Guest to check the Hiraeth Collection website for the most up to date version available.
Booking details:
Bookings will be accepted as follows:

By email direct

Through the online reservation process on the Hiraeth Collection website.
Any booking shall only be deemed to be accepted when Hiraeth Collection issues a written confirmation of the booking. When you submit a booking via our online reservation system you will receive an automatically generated booking confirmation by email to the email address you provide in the booking form. This automatically confirms your booking and a contract between us. All Lead guests must be over the age of 18 years.
Charges and payments:
At the time of placing the booking the guest shall pay the following:

100% of the fee;
Payment is to be made by debit/credit card or bank transfer. There is no surcharge when paying by credit card, debit card or bank transfer. All payments for Hiraeth Collection made from outside of the UK are to be made in pounds sterling. If an overseas guest pays for a booking by bank transfer they will be responsible for settling their own bank charges and Hiraeth Collection reserves the right to pass on to the guest any bank charges incurred from our own bank for receiving such amounts paid by bank transfer from a bank based outside of the UK.
Arrival and departure:
Your cottage is available from 4pm on the day of arrival and should be vacated by 12pm on the day of departure. Please adhere to these times to allow the cottage to be prepared for the next guests. The housekeeper is paid by the hour and we have a schedule for the day. If she or he cannot access the cottage from 12pm sharp, it can cause problems as it impedes an appropriate clean for the next guests and time for general maintenance, and we may need to charge for the extra costs incurred.
Hiraeth Mon:
Access to the property is via a key. A key box isolated to the left hand side of the front door. Code for the key box are sent 24 hours before check-in.
We provide tea, coffee and sugar. There is a roll of toilet paper, kitchen roll, washing up liquid, bin bags and cleaning products are provided.
There is a Welcome Folder in each property which is full of information to help you with your stay. There are brochures for local activities and local takeaway menus readily available. We also provide information on the Hiraeth Collection website for local activities and days out.
Deposit/Breakages:
We do not request a damage deposit as we trust our guests to look after our property during your stay. We always take general wear and tear into account as this is natural. However, any breakages/faults should be reported as soon as possible as we cannot offer a remedy after the letting has ceased. A Hiraeth Collection representative will call to assess any damage and assist where possible. Any damage will be recorded, and photographs taken as appropriate. If there is to be any costs we will be in touch and can be up to 72 hours after your departure.

Hiraeth Collection reserves the right to request compensation for any damage as stated above.

Services:
The following services are offered free of charge at each property:
Hiraeth Mon:

Electricity and heating is provided.

Heating are electrical radiators which are set to timers.

Hot water is provided, but you may need to run the tap for a couple of minutes before hot water will come.

Unlimited Fibre Broadband
Smoking:
All properties within the Hiraeth Collection are non-smoking properties inside and outside areas.
Refuse:
Hiraeth Mon:
There are commercial bins at Hiraeth Mon which are collected on a fortnightly basis by Cyngor Ynys Mon. Please place all general waste rubbish in the kitchen bin and any recyclable products in the recycling bin located in the kitchen.
Please ensure nappies are put in a separate bin bag before being disposed of.
Pets/Animals:
Hiraeth Collection do not allow any pets/animals at any property. If pets/animals arrive at the property, the pet/animal must vacate the property immediately or your booking will be cancelled, and no refund will be given.
Parking:
Hiraeth Mon:

Complaints:
We hope there is no reason or cause to complain but, if this is case, we are more than happy to resolve any issue that arises. Please email us at info@hiraethcollection.co.uk and we will deal with your complaint within 72 hours of being received. We will not deal with any complaints once check-out as taken place.
Cancellations by the Guest:
Cancellations should be confirmed in writing via email to info@hiraethcollection.co.uk. We have the following cancellation policy:

Before 7 days of check-in – 100% refund,

Within 7 days of check – no refund.
If you are forced to cancel your holiday because of adverse weather conditions, most Insurance Companies can offer cover which will allow you to claim for irrecoverable accommodation costs. We advise you to take out cancellation insurance and check the policy covers you for this eventuality.

We highly advise and recommend you take out holiday insurance which is adequate to cover your costs which is suited to your personal requirements.
Coronavirus (Covid-19/SARS-CoV- 2):
If you have symptoms or believe to have contracted Coronavirus, as per Government Guidelines from all 4 devolved Nations, you are to self-isolate to minimise the risk of the spread. Under no circumstances are you to travel if you believe you have symptoms and you will not be permitted entry to any property within the Hiraeth Collection.
All guests will be asked to complete a form before their arrival, this form will ask questions relating to Coronavirus and whether you have symptom’s or have been in contact with anybody who believes they have contracted the virus. If this is the case, you will be refused entry to the property and you will not be refunded if this is within 7 days of your arrival, as per our standard cancellation policy. You are advised and it is recommended to have adequate travel insurance in place to cover your costs.
If during your stay you develop symptoms or believe to have contracted Coronavirus you are to vacate the property with immediate effect and travel back to your permeant residence. You must make us aware as soon as reasonably practicable so we can help you vacate the property and to protect our staff to the best of our ability. Guest’s cannot self-isolate or stay at any property within Hiraeth Collection and they will not be refunded for any nights lost due to developing symptoms. Guests will not be given permission to extend their stay if they have symptoms and cannot stay in the property any longer than their original booked dates.
Cancellations by the Owner:
Should any property in the Hiraeth Collection become unavailable during the agreed period then the Hiraeth Collection will inform the Guest and provide a full explanation of the reasons for the withdrawal of the property and/or facilities.
The Agent shall have no liability for any issues that may arise. The Guest may opt to cancel their confirmed Booking as a result of such change or withdrawal of the Owner’s facilities. Hiraeth Collection will provide a full refund for any holiday that cannot take place as a result of the withdrawal of the property. There will be no other compensation offered.
Access:
The Hiraeth Collection or their designated representative, shall be allowed to access the cottages at any time to carry out any essential/emergency maintenance or other inspection relevant for the safety of the property. We will endeavour to give as much notice as possible but in certain circumstances this may not be possible.
Occupancy:
Hiraeth Mon:
The maximum occupancy for Hiraeth Mon is 4 guests.
The number of persons occupying a cottage must not exceed the maximum number the cottages can accommodate. If you are in any doubt, please ask prior to the arrival day. For fire safety reasons, the people that stay in the accommodation must not be of a different identity to those named as part of the booking. We reserve the right to refuse admission to the cottage if this should occur. If you wish to change the people that will stay, please let us know and we can update our Booking System.
Lost property:
We regret that we cannot accept responsibility for any lost property left behind after your stay. Whilst we will make every effort to return lost property, this will only be done on receipt of full payment of the registered post plus a £8 handling and packing charge. Items not claimed after 14 days will be disposed off.
The use of the cottages/contents and site facilities is entirely at the user’s risk. We cannot accept responsibility for any injury or death to the hirer or any of their party, or other third parties, or for loss or damage to their belongings, vehicles or their contents or any other personal possessions or monies.
Any theft occurring during your stay due to lack of vigilance in terms of locking the property will invalidate the terms of the insurance and thus costs will have to be met by yourself.
Television:
Each property have a television in the lounge, which does not have access to live TV. There is access to all on demand, eg. BBC iPlayer, All4, ITV Hub & Channel 5. Netflx & Disney+ is also provided free of charge for guests and is all logged in ready for your arrival.
Wi-Fi:
For all users of Wi-Fi, the Guest(s) undertakes the following:
1. Not to use the Wi-Fi for any unlawful, inappropriate or immoral purpose;
2. Not to make any use of the Wi-Fi such that the whole or part of the Wi-Fi is interrupted, damaged, rendered less efficient, or the effectiveness or functionality of the Wi-Fi is in any way impaired. This includes limiting the amount of large files to be uploaded and gaming/streaming movies;
4. Not to use the Wi-Fi for the transmission or posting of any computer viruses or any material which is defamatory, offensive or of an obscene or menacing character or in such a way as to cause annoyance, inconvenience or needless anxiety;
5. Not to use the Wi-Fi in a manner which constitutes a violation or infringement of the rights of any person, firm or company (including rights of copyright or confidentiality);
6. Not to use the Wi-Fi to transmit any material for the purposes of publicity, promotion and/or advertising without the prior written consent of the Owner unless such transmission has been specifically requested by another User of the Wi-Fi;
7. That in the event that it has any right, claim or action against any other user arising out of the use of the Wi-Fi then it shall pursue such right, claim or action independently of, and without recourse to, the Owner; and
8. The User will indemnify and defend Owners against all claims, liability, damages, costs and expenses, including legal fees, arising out of a breach of these Terms and Conditions or any use of the Wi-Fi by the User. The User acknowledges that Owners have no control over the nature or content of information or programs transmitted or received by the User using the Wi-Fi and that Owners do not examine in any way the use to which the User puts the Wi-Fi. The User agrees to fully indemnify the Owner against any claims or legal proceedings arising in connection with User’s use of the Wi-Fi which are brought or threatened against the Owner by any other person.
9. The Wi-Fi service is free of charge
We cannot be held responsible if the service does not work.
Health and Safety:
The owners wish to comply with the legislation governing holiday accommodation. There is a Welcome Folder in each property, and there are instruction leaflets for the appliances. Please ensure that the instructions provided are followed by the relevant manufacturer in order to keep safe and look after the appliances. If anything breaks or fails to work, please advise the contact person as soon as is feasible and a replacement can be provided. In terms of fire safety, there are smoke detectors, fire blanket, fire extinguisher and a C02 detector.
Children Safety:
Cleaning materials are left for the use of guests during their stay. They are located under the sink in the kitchen. It is the responsibility of guests to ensure that children are safe whilst in the property and are not able to access the cupboards where products are kept.
Provision of services:
We also provide facilities for babies and small children to assist you during your stay such as high chairs, travel cot, toys and so on. We cannot be held responsible for any illness, or injury that may arise from the use of any service we have put into place for you.
Inventory:
There is a list of all the items provided in each Hiraeth Collection property. This can in most cases be sent to you before your arrival should you request it and wish to see what else you may need to bring with you.
